John Knox Village of Central Florida is committed to the health and safety of our residents and staff and is expanding our screening and visitation policy based on the most recent Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines.
John Knox Village of Central Florida will continue to screen all visitors to the community for symptoms of the Coronavirus. Access to the campus will be denied if exposure or symptoms exist:
- Have Flu-like symptoms (cough, sore throat, sneezing, malaise)
- Have a fever greater than 100 degrees
- Have traveled internationally within the last 30 days, including cruise travel
- Have been exposed to someone that has traveled internationally or on a cruise in the last 30 days
In addition, CMS and the CDC have updated their guidelines for facilities located in areas with known cases of COVID-19 to limit visitations to health care facilities. John Knox Village of Central Florida, located in Volusia County, will further limit visitations to our health care centers. Visitation to Oak View Suites Assisted Living and Majestic Oaks Health Center will only be granted to only essential personnel.
In lieu of in person visits, we will be facilitating access for communication by means of:
- Virtual communication (Skype, FaceTime, etc.)
- Phone communication
If you are planning a visit to either Oak View Suites or Majestic Oaks, please contact us prior to arrival to discuss potential visitation. We understand the impact this social distancing may have on you and our residents, and will make every effort to ensure that you are updated on your loved-ones well-being and when it is safe to resume visits.
