Coronavirus Update – November 24, 2020

John Knox Village currently has five independent living residents testing positive for COVID-19. An additional 15 residents are in quarantine. As a result of the increase in the number of cases within the Village as well as the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases state wide, all general visitation to independent living residents will be halted at 1:00 p.m. today.

In addition, all resident activities including all games, billiards, coffee groups, the pool, and the Fitness Center are closed or cancelled until further notice. Dining will remain open at 50% capacity at this time.

Contact tracing continues to take place on all affected residents.

Residents under quarantine are required to stay at home for the next 14 days from their date of exposure.  We are monitoring these residents for any symptoms.

While quarantining, residents are restricted to only their home and immediate yard. Access to commons areas such as dining, The Scoop and the dog park are prohibited.

It is critical, if you are not feeling well for any reason, please contact the resident nurse immediately at extension 1407, the gatehouse, or use your pull cord.

With the approaching holiday we urge all resident to use extreme caution.
