John Knox Village Photography Contest
Purpose
There are many natural sites at JKV and with the coronavirus restrictions we all have plenty of time to capture the natural world in photos. We are interested in encouraging active and budding photographers to show off their talents. We invite all photographers, during the month of May, to take photos on the JKV campus and submit them for exhibition and judging.
Rules
There are three divisions for entry: Animals, Flowers, and Scenic. Each division has an “untouched” category and an “improved” category.
Photographers may enter up to three photos in one or more of the six categories.
Photos should be sent electronically to: info@JohnKnox.com no later than June 1, 2020. Please include JKV Photo Contest in the subject line of your submission.
Make sure to include which division and category you are submitting for judging in the body of your email.
Judges
Prizes will be given in seven categories. Photos submitted in the “untouched” or “improved” Animals, Flowers, and Scenic categories will be judged by a panel of residents and staff. The seventh category, Viewer’s Choice, will be awarded to the photo that receives the most likes, shares and comments through the John Knox Village Facebook page. All entries will be posted to the JKV Photo Contest Photo Album on Facebook on Monday, June 1. Likes, Shares and Comments to the photos will be encourage through Monday, June 8.
All winning entries will have their photos published in the July/August edition of Village Life magazine.
