Assisted living will be vaccinated beginning at 10 a.m. on January 21.

Independent Living residents will check in at the Grill entrance on their assigned day at the assigned time. Please do not arrive prior to your appointment time. We will be starting with residents with last names that begin with the letter “A”. Attached is a copy of the vaccination schedule with assigned appointment times. A copy has been posted to the portal and Knox-TV.

  • Day One, January, 21: last names Ahrens – Foreman
  • Day Two, January 22: last names McFarland – Zollner
  • Day Three, January 23: last names Frood – McBride

Residents will need to bring their driver’s license or state issued ID and insurance card with them to the vaccination clinic. Residents will be required to wear a mask. The vaccine is administered into the upper arm, so please ensure that you are wearing clothing that is accessible. All residents being vaccinated will be required to stay at the vaccination clinic for a period of 15 minutes for observation.

We are scheduled to receive the Pfizer vaccine. All participants will receive an immunization card and will be given the date for the second dose. Follow up vaccination will take place February 11 through 13 and March 4 through 6. You will need to complete the Vaccine Administration Record Informed Consent form again prior to the second dose.

Further information regarding appointment times for option 1 residents and residents under quarantine will be provided as we get closer to the clinic dates.

Our number one priority is the health and safety of our residents and staff. Please continue to wash your hands frequently and thoroughly. Avoid touching your face, make sure to clean and wipe down frequently touched surfaces, stay home when you are sick and avoid contact with people in poor health and maintain a safe distance of 6 feet between you and others. Make sure to wash your fabric masks frequently or replace disposable masks once they become soiled.

It is critical, if you are not feeling well for any reason, or if you suspect that you have come into close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 to please contact the resident nurse immediately at extension 1407, the gatehouse, or use your pull cord.
