Village Update 11/25/2020

Village-Wide Updates:

As a result of the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases within the Village as well as the increase in the number of COVID-19 cases state wide, we would like to remind all residents of the quarantine policy for John Knox Village: 

If you have tested positive for COVID-19:

  • You and your spouse shall remain in your home for 10 days from the date of your positive test or 10 days from symptom onset and 24 hours without fever reducing medication(*)
  • *Severe cases require 20 days of isolation   
  • Walking your dog behind or around your home only – No dog park or walking in village
  • Approval must be received to be removed from quarantine or isolation

Reasons to be in quarantine:  

  • You have had exposure to someone who has tested positive – Immediate quarantine for 14 days. If you have had exposure to someone that has tested positive, you CANNOT test out of quarantine per CDC guidelines.
  • Your physician or other practitioner sends you for a test – immediate quarantine until test results are received.
  • You elect to be tested – immediate quarantine until test results are received.
  • You have had exposure to someone who has had exposure to someone who has tested positive:
    • Use extreme caution and monitor yourself for any signs or symptoms.
    • We recommend to stay away from others for 48-72 hours.
  • Walking your dog behind or around your home only – No dog park or walking in village
  • Approval must be received to be removed from any quarantine or isolation

It is critical, if you are not feeling well for any reason, please contact the resident nurse immediately at extension 1407, the gatehouse, or use your pull cord.

With the approaching holiday we urge all resident to use extreme caution.

  • Wear your mask
  • Social Distance
  • Wash your hands frequently
  • Avoid large groups
  • Be smart when traveling
