Is a Life Plan at John Knox Village a good fit for you?

Choosing a Life Plan Community is a wise investment in your peace of mind. If your needs change over time, you can seamlessly transition to a higher level of care within the community and without substantial increases in your monthly fee.

Ensure tomorrow’s care today

John Knox Village provides all the services and amenities of independent living, with lifetime access to a continuum of care that includes assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation and home healthcare services.

The predictable costs associated with the Life Plan contract provide financial security and protect against rising healthcare expenses.

If you should outlive your financial resources for reasons outside your control and are unable to pay your monthly service fee, you are still entitled to guaranteed priority access to on-site healthcare.

What are the costs of living at John Knox Village?

The entrance fee is a one-time fee paid when you move into the community. The amount of the fee varies depending on the apartment, cottage or villa you choose. Entrance fees start at $75,000.

The monthly service fee pays for your meal plan, unlimited use of common spaces and campus amenities, maintenance, housekeeping, water, cable TV, electricity and more. The amount you pay depends on the size of residence you choose and whether you live with a second person. A second person pays a significantly lower monthly service fee. Monthly service fees start at $2,180.

Does a Life Plan work with my long-term care insurance?

You might be eligible to receive benefits from your long-term care insurance policy if you need long-term care. Your policy may work hand in hand with a Life Plan and pay benefits directly to you. Long-term care insurance policies vary. Consult your insurance carrier for details about your policy.

What are the tax benefits of a Life Plan?

Because of the financial arrangements under which care is provided, a portion of your Life Plan contract may be deductible as a prepaid medical expense, even if you are not using a higher level of care. Consult your accountant or financial advisor about tax advantages.
