Tragic Incident at John Knox Village of Central Florida – Statement from Management
It is with profound sorrow and a heavy heart that we confirm the loss of one of our residents at John Knox Village of Central Florida due to a tragic incident this morning, July 13, 2025. This event has profoundly impacted our community, and our thoughts and condolences go out to the family, friends, and all those who knew and loved John Stratechuk.
We are currently working closely with local law enforcement and authorities. While the details of this incident are still being investigated, we wish to state that John Knox Village maintains a strict no-gun policy for the safety and well-being of all residents, staff, and visitors. This policy has been in place to ensure a secure and peaceful environment.
At this time, our primary concern is the well-being of Mr. Stratechuk’s wife, our other residents, and their families, and we are committed to providing all necessary support in the wake of this tragedy.
We will be arranging counseling services for residents and staff members affected by this loss, and we encourage anyone in need of support to reach out.
We understand that this event raises many questions and concerns, and we are dedicated to maintaining transparency throughout the ongoing investigation. We will continue to cooperate fully with authorities and keep the community informed as more details become available.
